Our charter for partners and suppliers

Kinell designs, integrates, commissions and supports power and electronic systems for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of off-highway machinery and specialty vehicles. These systems combine our own intellectual property (IP), our products and high-quality components from industry-leading suppliers.

We invest a great deal of time and effort in building close and mutually beneficial relationships with selected component and subsystem suppliers. These relationships are based on integrity, trust, technical cooperation, flexibility and fair business practices.

Our strategically preferred suppliers include companies that are recognized as technology leaders, are quick to respond, are known for their high quality and have a strong brand presence. Some of our supplier relationships have been in place for over 20 years, reflecting the value we place on long-term collaboration.

This charter clarifies how we work with our partners and suppliers in our projects for customers.

Projects initiated by the customer vs. projects initiated by the supplier

There are two main ways in which we get involved in projects:

1. Projects initiated by the customer:

  • The customer (e.g. OEM) asks us to submit a technical and commercial offer.
  • We work with a large number of suppliers to cover the required product portfolio and find the best solution for the project.

2. Projects initiated by the partner or supplier:

  • A supplier recommends our services to a customer.
  • Both the OEM and the supplier benefit from successful project implementation.
  • Many of our projects are the result of recommendations from suppliers, so this is a key growth path for our company.

How we select components

We recognize that no single supplier can provide the best solution for every application. Given the nature of our industry, some of our component suppliers have an overlapping product offering. Our component selection process is as follows:

1. Projects initiated by the customer:

  • Our system team selects the appropriate components on the basis of the developed system design according to technical and economic aspects.

2. Projects initiated by the partner or supplier:

  • When a supplier introduces us to an OEM, we give priority to that supplier’s products for a part of the system scope that they can reasonably fulfill..
  • We are committed to being responsive and transparent with both the supplier and the OEM throughout the project.

Advantages for customers (e.g. OEMs)

By working with Kinell, clients gain access to specialized technical expertise that may exceed their internal capabilities or capacity. Our services and network enable the client to:

  • Acceleration of development times.
  • Achieve higher system performance and reliability.
  • Reduction of total cost of ownership through optimized solutions.
  •

Advantages for partners and suppliers

Partners and suppliers who work with us benefit from several advantages:

1. Market access and stronger relationships:

  • Every project we undertake with a supplier deepens our knowledge of their products and strengthens our working relationship, promoting a virtuous circle of trust and efficiency.

2. Seamless system integration:

  • We have expertise in the integration of components that the supplier does not manufacture or for which he does not wish to assume full system responsibility.
  • Our commercial and technical teams work closely with customers, providing support and ensuring smooth project execution.
  • We have experience of working with hundreds of different machine models and can therefore optimize solutions effectively.

3. Kinell Solutions & Systems:

  • With our system and solutions offerings we ease the application of supplier products and thus increase the reach and sales potential.

Transparency in cooperation

At Kinell, we value strong partnerships with our partners and suppliers and believe that transparent collaboration is beneficial for all parties involved – customers, partners, suppliers and us. We look forward to continuing to build productive, long-term relationships that foster innovation and success.
